Zoe-perry
Perry is Perry is a Chicago native, she was born into Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in both the two shows she starred in on Roseanne. The actress did not go on to consider a career in acting until after she had reached adulthood because her parents were concerned about the adverse impact stress might cause. Perry she was shy for acting in school, began performing in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. When she graduated, Perry moved into New York to search for television work landing small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought Perry back home to California which is where she discovered acting work. Perry performed with her mom on stage in The Other Place at Broadway, back in 2013. Perry was in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was presented in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry was a part of nine episodes of ABC's drama The Family. In 2017, she had a minor role on ABC's thriller about politics Scandal which starred her father. The same year, she played a young model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother as a young version. The actress was chosen for the role despite her close relationship with the character's family.
