Andra Day and Andi Matichak

Cassandra Monique Batie is a musician, singer and actress from the United States. She is a specialist in R&B & soul. The singer has received various accolades including a Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nomination for an Academy Award. Andra Day, an accomplished artist and songwriter, with a strong background in blues, gospel and gospel who has a flair for the modern world is more than just an R&B throwback master. Her ability to combine her influences of jazz, gospel and the blues into the R&B genre is remarkable. Her debut album Cheers to the Fall (2015), was a smash success in the genre of R&B/hiphop that earned her a host of Grammy and Academy Award nominations. Stand Up for Something (2017), her contribution to Marshall's soundtrack was awarded both of these awards. Andra was born Cassandra Monique Batie on Edmonds Washington. After growing up living in San Diego and surrounding areas, she began performing at church, and then enrolled in at the School of Creative and Performing Arts. DJs started playing it on the radio. In the year 2015, following her signing with Warner Bros. Records she started working on her debut album Cheers To The Fall featuring Adrian Gurvitz. The album featured the single Rise Up, which was adopted as a anthem for the social justice movement across the world. Day was awarded the album two Grammy nominations for her album including Best R&B Album. In 2019, she debuted her second album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album on the life of the legendary jazz singer. In the following year she appeared as a character in The United States Vs. Billie Holiday (2020), a biopic of Holiday's career. Andi Matichak is an American actor. She first appeared in the movie Halloween as Allyson After appearing on various television shows, including Orange Is the New Black (Orange Is the New Black), Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue) as well as Blue Bloods and Orange Is the New Black. Andi Mattichak was born May 3, 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts.
