Hayley Orrantia (born in the year 1996) is an American performer, actress and songwriter. Most people recognise her as Erica Goldberg in the comedy television show 'The Goldbergs'. She considers herself to be a musician first and foremost. Music, according to her, is first thing she enjoys. She started playing with the instrument at the age of nine. The first time she began to study music professionally when she was twelve. After some experimentation with songwriting, she only recorded the album with songs at age 14. It hasn't turned back ever since. Orrantia is a native of the USA but has Hispanic origins. She has Hispanic roots even if she was only able to speak English as a child and spent her entire life in America. In her pursuit of learning Spanish and writing songs she is trying to maintain the spirit of her culture. One such song is "Hasta Verte," a song she recorded in Spanish. Orrantia performed for The X Factor during its debut season in the summer of 2011. Orrantia's YouTube video was picked and she was awarded four "yeses", or votes, from the judges at The Seattle audition. She initially auditioned in the show "Hollywood Week" as a single artist. However, three other women singers and she were put together to audition for the remaining music. The group was removed from the show during the fifth week of live performances.
